All we wanted was an ice cream. We walked all through the streets and alleys exploring but were unable to find a gelato (ice cream) shop.
Until Mae saw McDonalds.
I refused to go in. I told her I didn't travel halfway around the world to eat food that is mass produced. Especially not this. I wanted Italian Gelato - the most amazing of Italian foodery.
She could go in if she liked and get something, I would wait outside.
She didn't. I think she was mad at me, but she put up with my stubborn ideas. In the end, we found our gelato shop and had a fabulous treat.
Some things are worth waiting for.

hahaha. You're funny. You should have at least gone in and seen how different the menu is. that's the best part. I've been IN a McDonald's in every country I've been in (except India. I didn't see one there... but I'm sure they have them...I was just too far away from everything)
In Prague you can buy Beer with your burger. :o)
But it is different if you are in Italy looking for Ice cream vs. say... China looking for Ice cream. HUGE difference there. I'm glad you waited for your Gelado. :o)
I bet they sold wine at the counter there if we had gone in. They sell wine everyplace you can get a candy bar.
I love it!
